We have an exciting opportunity to join our team based in the UK and Ireland. The WPO Group is a privately owned provider of expert services including technical and commercial asset management services to our renewable energy clients. WPO currently operates across 14 European countries through 48 offices or service points, windfarms and solar sites.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive Operational HSEQ Coordinator, based in the UK, to support our on-site team across the UK and Ireland. You will be a key player in monitoring and improving HSEQ practices in the field, ensuring compliance with the industry best practices and EU standards & regulations. The role involves frequent travel to operational sites and working closely with WPO operational team to drive a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor WPO’s HSEQ management system in the UK & Ireland.
* Source training, according to the Group Training Matrix, as and when required ensuring compliance to European standards where applicable.
* Maintain PPE register ensuring compliance with deadlines (statutory inspection), competitive pricing and ‘fit for purpose’ requirements.
* Conduct regular HSEQ audits and inspections across our renewables’ assets in the UK and Ireland.
* Coordinate the compilation of HSEQ audits’ findings in our tracker tool
* Participate in HSEQ events reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
* Review and update risk assessments.
* Carry out on a regular basis regulatory compliance for the UK and Ireland.
* Support emergency response drills with operational and rescue teams.
* Assist operational team with HSEQ queries.
* Organise and document regular HSEQ meetings with contractors (O&Ms…).
Your Profile
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HSEQ role or operational role, ideally in the renewables sector.
* Good IT skills, particularly MS Word & Excel and Office 365 Tools.
* Demonstrable organisational skills are essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal format to clients, staff and third parties alike.
* Capable of working under your own initiatives and to targets.
* Ability to work independently and travel regularly to remote sites.
* Practical, hands-on approach with strong interpersonal skills.
* Full and clean driving license required.
* Experience conducting site audits would bring a distinct advantage.
