Job Description
3. Develop and implement category strategies for direct procurement in alignment with business objectives.
4. Manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and value delivery.
5. Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.
6. Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with operational needs.
8. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues in a timely manner.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities.
10. Provide regular reports and updates on category performance and cost efficiencies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Category Manager should have:
11. Proven experience in category management within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
12. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
13. A good understanding of procurement processes and sourcing strategies.
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
15. Proficiency in using procurement tools and systems.
16. CIPs qualification would be desirable but not essential
