Team Leader – Credit Management
Pendragon Head Office - Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
Salary of up to £35,000 with pension, single health care, critical illness and life assurance schemes, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services
Due to our ongoing growth and expansion, we are looking for a talented individual to join us in the role of Credit Management Team Leader. You’ll be working physically from Head Office for three days per week, with the flexibility to work from home for two days per week.
Based in our Finance Shared Service Centre, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that supports our nationwide network of retailers. With over 140 team members and a focus on continual growth and development, we’re dedicated to offering limitless opportunities for career development.
As a Credit Management Team Leader, you’ll coach and support a team of Accounts Assistant’s and Supervisors, ensuring that your team prioritise and pro-actively collect outstanding debt on a daily basis for the business from customers with overdue accounts.
You’ll have the opportunity to be involved with:
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards
* Overseeing and reviewing credit checks for new customers to assess and mitigate the risks posed to the business
* Taking ownership for the delivery of all sales contract credit and payment terms that minimise credit risk exposures
* Reviewing, analysing, and resolving errors in the Credit Control process to ensure compliance with all necessary regulations
* Ensuring you and your team are always compliant with credit policies, contractual frameworks and the associated core credit and debt recovery processes
Do you have what it takes to be a Pendragon Associate? We’re looking for someone who has:
* Strong leadership and people development focus with a successful track record of motivating, leading and developing teams of people
* Previous experience in a similar Credit Control leadership role in a fast-paced business
* Complete and thorough understanding of end-to- end Credit Control process with the ability to develop and embed these processes within large teams
* Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate and contribute effectively with large teams, peers and senior stakeholders both face to face and virtually
* Strong numerical skills, with the ability to process financial data quickly and with a strong attention to detail
* The ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels across the wider business to achieve goals and objectives
