About the Role:
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of subjects
Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Science, alongside foundation subjects such as History, Geography, Art, Music, PE and Design & Technology
Ensure pupils develop a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and understanding across all areas of the curriculum
Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to participate
Promote a culture of mutual respect, curiosity, and active learning
Monitor and track pupil progress, identifying areas where additional support or challenge is needed
Use a variety of assessment methods such as classwork, tests, projects, and observations—to evaluate learning
Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students recognise their strengths and target areas for improvement
The ideal candidate will:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
Recent and relevant experience teaching across Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6), with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of KS2 pupils
Excellent classroom management skills, maintaining a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment
Strong subject knowledge in core areas such as English, Mathematics, and Science, as well as foundation subjects
Ability to assess pupil progress effectively, using formative and summative assessment to inform teaching
