Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week with the ability to work flexibly to meet requirements of role including occasional evenings / weekends

Key Responsibilities: The Corps Mission Lead will bring their energy and passion for The Salvation Army and the Christian faith to the role. They will facilitate people’s Christian discipleship, and worship and will be a key leader involved in the social action and mission of the corps. The role will involve leading Christian prayers, facilitating group worship, providing pastoral support and modelling a consistent Christian lifestyle within the community.
The post holder will establish the needs of the community within the area and will develop and deliver appropriate community work, empowering local people and identified volunteers to help achieve this.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. Proven experience of working in a similar role managing programmes to meet the needs of a community.
2. Experience of corps / church leadership including helping people explore the Christian faith in creative and relevant ways.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to develop and sustain collaborative working relationships both within and outside the corps.
4. Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload to effectively meet your objectives, showing initiative and a strong work ethic in situations without regular supervision
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
