Job Description
1. Lead the development of comprehensive estimates and proposals for complex construction projects.
2. Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and related documentation to establish project scope and pricing strategies.
3. Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis throughout various stages of design and preconstruction.
4. Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
5. Develop value engineering solutions and cost-saving alternatives to support project objectives.
6. Collaborate with design, preconstruction, and operations teams to ensure project budgets align with design intent and client expectations.
7. Participate in client presentations, proposal reviews, and project pursuit activities.
8. Support subcontractor procurement and project handoff activities following award.
9. Review project performance against original estimates and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
10. Mentor and support junior estimators and preconstruction professionals while helping establish best practices and standards.
