Overview
SEN / SEND Tutors are needed in Leicestershire to provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing.
Targeted Provision aims to transform the quality of education for vulnerable young people. You will be supported by a team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists and work on a 1:1 tutoring basis in a flexible, holistic, trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require educational and social-emotional support
* Offer flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including for remote/online work
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* Work as a Worker providing short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payments
* No guaranteed volume of work or expenses coverage
* Company insurance covers your work
* Not a self-employed position
