Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality holistic services to clients in their own home setting. This position requires a blend of leadership, communication, and IT skills to effectively implement care plans and support client's in their daily activities.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients to remain independent with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
* Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment.
* Maintain accurate records of clients' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Ensure that the the clients home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all their family, visitors and friends.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to the senior support worker role.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in the community or senior care setting is highly desirable.
* Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead a small team effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with clients compassionately.
* Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is essential.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
