Are you an experienced Quality professional ready to lead both QC and QA within a structured chemical or pharma manufacturing environment?
We’re recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee site quality operations within a manufacturing business in the West Midlands.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role, responsible for both Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions.
What You’ll Be Doing
âś… Leading and developing the QC and QA teams
âś… Maintaining and improving the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
âś… Acting as the primary contact for all internal and external quality audits
âś… Overseeing analytical laboratory standards and compliance
âś… Managing CAPA, investigations, and continuous improvement activities
âś… Providing technical guidance to customers regarding product specifications
âś… Ensuring compliance with GMP and relevant laboratory management systems
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
âś” Degree in Chemistry (or closely related discipline)
✔ Minimum 5 years’ experience in analytical chemistry (GC, GCMS, HPLC) within an industrial environment
âś” Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
âś” Previous management or supervisory experience
âś” Experience leading audits and managing CAPA processes
âś” Strong leadership and communication skills

• Have progressed from a technical chemistry background into quality leadership
• Are comfortable managing a small QC/QA team
• Can operate effectively within an SME environment
• Are confident hosting audits and engaging with customers
• Enjoy balancing hands-on technical oversight with strategic quality management
