Robert Half are recruiting for a skilled Management Accountant to join an established team in Bradford for a 12 to 16 week assignment. The role is based onsite initially, with the possibility of moving to a hybrid arrangement as the assignment progresses.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Accounting

1. Deliver timely, accurate, and clear financial information to budget holders at all levels.
2. Monitor spend against budgets, investigating variances and ensuring expenditure accuracy.
3. Produce and distribute monthly budget monitoring reports, highlighting key issues for regular meetings.
4. Advise and support managers with timely financial insights to meet departmental objectives.
5. Provide training and easy-to-follow guidance on budget management and control.
6. Assist in annual budget preparation, including revenue and capital bids coordination.
7. Ensure proper authorisations are in place for budget changes in SAP and communicate updates.
8. Use your analytical skills to review budgets and forecasts, supporting cost control strategies.
9. Advise on the financial impact of new projects and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Financial Accounting

10. Support account closure activities, including accruals and ensuring income/expenditure completeness.
11. Assist with capital and revenue outturn reports and statutory return submissions.
12. Prepare supporting notes for annual Statement of Accounts.

Treasury Management

13. Collaborate with the Treasury Management Officer to arrange investments and borrowing.
14. Help prepare organisation cashflows and support treasury operations as needed.

Smarter Working

15. Support strategy development and help embed continuous improvement in finance processes.
16. Participate in departmental projects and organisational change initiatives.
17. Contribute to departmental planning, self-assessment, and KPIs measurement.
