What You Will Do
1. As a member of the BMS Pre-Sales team, you will drive profitable growth by working closely with external and internal partners to make Johnson Controls the preferred BMS provider. You will lead solution development, design, costing, and technical value propositions in response to customer specifications and requirements.
2. This position is remote or hybrid, with approximately 20% travel expected.
How You Will Do It
* Analyze project specifications to assess technical requirements for BMS integration, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry standards.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop optimized, cost-effective BMS solutions. Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to evaluate quotations for cost-effectiveness.
* Develop detailed pre-design documentation, including system architecture and compliance checklists.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering without compromising functionality.
* Enhance proposal strategies by incorporating client feedback and market insights.
* Ensure designs comply with UK standards, building regulations, and energy efficiency mandates.
* Create detailed cost estimates and walkthroughs, validating budget accuracy and pricing strategies.
* Provide technical support during pre-sales, including solution validation and client presentations.
* Benchmark against competitors to ensure proposals are competitive and differentiated.
Required Qualifications
* Proven experience in BMS solution design and project cost estimation within a BMS environment.
* At least 5 years of professional experience.
* Relevant qualifications such as BCRIA certification or an engineering degree.
* Strong technical skills on small, large, and complex BMS projects.
* Proficiency in PDF documents and drawings, MS Visio, and Microsoft Office suite.
* Knowledge of BMS specifications, scope, and system requirements.
* Experience designing BMS main structures and operation scenarios.
Preferred Skills
* Ability to create/control valve and actuator selections and schedules.
* AutoCAD experience.
