About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children who may present with behaviours that challenge, helping them develop positive coping strategies and improve their social, emotional, and communication skills.
You will support children and young people in their family homes, but also in their local community, helping them to access and enjoy local services, such as parks or leisure centres.
The role involves alternate weekend working.
About you
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals with proven experience of working with disabled children who may communicate their needs, wishes and feelings through behaviours that can challenge.
You will be part of an established team and will work with your team members to provide children and young people with the best standard of care.
The successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to continuous development and to working towards or successful completion of a certification in Care Skills award.
You will need to be a car driver and have access to a car for work purposes, and be physically able to respond to children who may present in crisis.
