Full-Time Teller / Member Services Officer 37.5 hours per week | £26,227 per annum At BCCU, our members are at the heart of everything we do. We make a difference because we care, and we are now looking for a friendly and reliable Full-Time Teller / Member Services Officer (37.5 hours per week) to join our team and help provide high-quality service and support to our members. The role offers an annual salary of £26,227. This role will be based in our Ballymena office, but will require travel to our Coleraine, Antrim and Randalstown offices depending on business needs and the weekly rota. Working Pattern Hours will be scheduled between Monday and Saturday in accordance with the rota agreed in advance with the Line Manager. The successful candidate will be required to work at least two Saturdays in every four, with an alternative day off during the week. Flexibility will be required to adjust hours where requested in advance by the Line Manager. The Role As a Member Services Officer / Teller, you will work in both face-to-face and telephone environments, providing members with the highest quality service and advice. Key responsibilities will include: Acting as a first point of contact for members, assisting with queries and requests. Providing advice and information to members on savings and loans based on their individual needs. Utilising internal IT systems accurately and efficiently. Handling and counting large volumes of cash, including lodgements and withdrawals. Completing general administration including email enquiries, scanning, filing and maintaining member accounts. Ensuring compliance with all current regulatory procedures and requirements. Essential Criteria At least 1 years experience within the last 5 years in a cashier, financial services or customer-facing role involving cash handling (e.g. bank, credit union, post office, building society, bookmakers or similar retail environment) 5 or more GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English (Grades AC) Excellent communication and team working skills Excellent customer service skills Excellent numerical skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Confidence using IT packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Office Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers Desirable Criteria 2 A-Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above Knowledge of Credit Union principles and ethics Our Values At BCCU, we are guided by strong values including integrity, accountability, professionalism and respect.
