A friendly and welcoming nursery in Billingham is seeking a nurturing Teaching Assistant to join their early years team and support children during these vital early stages of development.

Position: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term Role – Early Years Teaching Assistant
About the Role:
* Support children aged 0–5 years within a nursery setting, in line with the EYFS framework.
* Assist the class teacher and nursery staff in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to help meet individual learning and developmental needs.
* Assist with observations, assessments, and recording children’s progress.
* Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development, including routines and care needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) or experience working in an early years or nursery setting.
* A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting young children.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
