We are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our growing Finance department at our state-of-the-art campus here in Silverstone. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a robust and compliant tax function across the Group, with a focus on UK corporate tax, R&D incentives and employment taxes. Working closely with the Head of Tax and Risk and wider finance stakeholders, you will play a key role in preparing tax calculations, supporting filings and responding to HMRC, while developing a strong understanding of the business and its technical tax profile. The role offers exposure to complex and evolving tax matters, with opportunities to build technical expertise and contribute to continuous improvement in tax processes and controls. Key Responsibilities Corporation Tax Support the Group’s corporation tax compliance cycle, including preparation of tax computations and liaison with external advisors. Deliver high-quality technical analysis and draft recommendations for review. Prepare and maintain detailed capital allowances analyses. Collaborate with Financial Accounting and external auditors to ensure robust year-end tax reporting. Partner with Finance to embed tax considerations into key commercial decisions. R&D Tax Credits Support the end-to-end R&D tax credit claim process in collaboration with engineering and external advisors. Identify qualifying innovation activities and ensure claims are maximised within legislation. Maintain robust supporting documentation for defensible submissions to HMRC. Ensure R&D credits are accurately reflected in forecasts and planning cycles. VAT Support the end-to-end VAT process and act as a first point of contact for VAT queries. Prepare VAT returns and manage regulatory reporting to mitigate compliance risks and optimise cash flow. Support initiatives to maximise global VAT recovery. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT legislation relevant to Group operations. Employment Taxes Assist HR with payroll tax compliance and routine employment tax matters. Support the preparation of year end employment tax calculations (P11D and PSA) Group & Strategic Support Support responses to HMRC queries and other tax authority interactions. Monitor legislative changes and assess business impact. Drive process improvements across all tax streams. Develop initiatives to improve tax awareness and education across the wider business. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CTA Experience in a similar role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Corporate tax and R&D tax credit experience essential. Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders. Alphatax experience preferred. Broad technical understanding of UK taxes. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
