Job Description:
KPMG is expanding its Tax and Legal practice to support clients with their pension obligations. Our pensions team collaborates with over 2,400 colleagues, delivering advice on pension matters related to ongoing operations and transactions.
We are seeking an experienced Consultant for our pensions actuarial team. You will provide high-quality advice on defined benefit pension schemes in the private sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Strategic planning, risk management, and endgame options including surplus use.
* Funding advice to sponsors and compliance with DB funding code.
* Pension due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
* Member education and communication.
* Advice on benefit design, implementation, governance, and compliance.
* Pensions accounting advice.
Description of the Role
* Understand defined benefit pension schemes and actuarial liability calculations.
* Analyze client data using actuarial techniques and models.
* Produce technical actuarial work adhering to standards and quality procedures.
* Assess reasonableness of assumptions and results using developed tools.
* Draft reports and emails based on outputs.
* Support case management, administration, and tracking.
* Contribute to client projects, ensuring timely delivery.
* Develop technical expertise and maintain communication within the team.
* Manage financial aspects including billing and debt collection.
