We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing specialist in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
This is a hands‑on role where you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency through expert fault‑finding, repair and proactive maintenance.
You will support a fast‑paced production environment by diagnosing complex electrical issues and contributing to long‑term reliability projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Responding to electrical breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
* Diagnosing and repairing faults in PLC systems, control panels, drives, motors and sensors.
* Carrying out scheduled electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
* Ensuring all activities are performed safely by following full LOTO procedures and site safety protocols.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting condition‑based monitoring.
* Actively contributing to automation upgrades and efficiency improvement projects.
* Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new plant equipment.
What You Need
* A Time‑served Electrical Apprenticeship or Equivalent Qualifications.
* Solid experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong technical competence in fault finding on PLCs, inverters, and control systems.
* The ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics.
* An analytical approach to problem‑solving and diagnosing technical faults.
* 18th Edition certification is highly desirable.
