Two opportunities are available for an Operator (Overhead Lines) based at Bodmin. As an Operator, you will assist a Craftsperson with construction, maintenance, replacement, and repair of overhead lines up to and including 66kV. You will ideally have some experience in the electrical field, although all necessary training will be provided.
The work involves being away from the depot, typically working in a team of two or more people. The environment requires quick, decisive, and responsible actions to meet role demands. You will also be responsible for ensuring the van contains all essential tools and equipment, working safely, and assisting with any labor required on site.
You need the ability and enthusiasm to work in a physical environment and take quick, responsible action. A flexible approach to working hours is essential, as is a driving license. To apply, you must hold English & Math GCSE (grades 1-9 or G-A*) or equivalent qualifications, such as Functional Skills. Evidence of qualifications will be required prior to appointment.
