We are working with a family-run contractor in Surrey who are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
This role offers excellent hands-on exposure to live projects while working closely with the Commercial Manager, giving you the opportunity to build your skills and progress your career within a supportive environment.
The Role:
* Prepare applications for payment and track client notices
* Assist with budgets, cost monitoring, and monthly reporting
* Support subcontract procurement, payments, and final accounts
* Help manage variations, delays, and contractual matters
* Carry out site visits to monitor progress, record variations, and liaise with project teams
* Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and colleagues
About You:
* Degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Previous experience in surveying or construction management (desirable)
* Knowledge of JCT contracts (advantageous)
* Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
* Full UK driving licence
* Must have the right to work in the UK
