Job Summary
Full‑time Consultant Psychiatrist for the Central Manchester Home Based Treatment Team. Senior clinician leading a multidisciplinary team: foundation/GP doctors in training, advanced nurse practitioner, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and support workers.
Key Clinical Duties
* Provide clinical leadership into the HBTT MDT and within community services.
* Deliver direct clinical care to patients referred to HBTT and provide evidence‑based care.
* Support multidisciplinary care, organise care packages, advise on interventions.
* Work closely with other teams and consultants; liaise with external agencies.
* Provide consultation to GPs and other referrers.
* Advise on care for patients detained under the Mental Health Act and undertake assessments.
* Supervise medical students, junior doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and non‑medical prescriber colleagues.
* Participate in CPD, teaching, audit and service development.
* Contribute to adequate daytime cover within the community service.
