Role Overview
Primark is seeking an Infrastructure Solution Architect to support the onboarding of new technical and service management technologies into our existing enterprise estate. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused contract role, accountable for solution design, integration and operational readiness rather than long‑term strategy.
The role operates across infrastructure, cloud, identity, security and service management domains, working closely with platform teams, Service Management, Security, vendors and delivery partners to ensure new capabilities are introduced safely, compliantly and are production‑ready.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and assure end‑to‑end infrastructure and platform solutions for new technology onboarding.
* Lead architectural integration of new platforms with existing infrastructure, identity, security, networking and ITSM tooling.
* Ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements, including security, resilience, supportability and operability.
* Provide architectural oversight for identity, access and remote access designs, aligned to established IAM and zero‑trust patterns.
* Work with Service Management teams to ensure alignment with ITSM processes, tooling and support models.
* Provide ongoing design assurance and governance throughout delivery, reviewing designs and implementation artefacts.
* Support transition to BAU, ensuring technologies are operationally ready and supportable.
* Strong experience in Infrastructure / Platform Solution Architecture within complex enterprise environments.
* Strong knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate complex designs clearly.
* Strong architectural documentation and design assurance capability.
Highly Desirable Technical Expertise
* ServiceNow and broader ITSM tools and processes.
* Identity and Access Management (IAM) patterns, including Microsoft Entra ID.
* Secure remote access technologies and modern workplace access patterns.
