Overview
We are pleased to be working with a very established company based in Southampton which is looking to recruit an experienced Stock Controller & Logistics Co-ordinator to join their friendly team. The position of Stock Controller & Logistics Co-ordinator is pivotal to the role to manage all National and International stock movement throughout the company, sending products to customers around the globe.
Responsibilities
* Monitor stock levels across warehouses globally, reconcile monthly reports with SAGE, and address discrepancies or inefficiencies
* Plan and manage global deliveries and stock deployment based on client consumption, ensuring timely and efficient distribution
* Keep track of stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and overall logistics efficiency while producing monthly reports
* Accurately manage client purchase orders, quotes, and enquiries to ensure smooth transactions
* Place orders with suppliers, manage the full supply chain, and flag potential obstacles to operational efficiency
* Conduct audits, track product conditions, highlight redundant or expiring items, and forecast stock needs
* Respond to customer queries and resolve issues swiftly to uphold a high standard of service
Key competencies / Qualifications
* Experience in a stock management role with knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
* Working knowledge of SAGE would be an advantage but full training will be given
* IT literate and proficient user of Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel
* Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
* Attention to detail and maintain good, accurate quality of work
* Outstanding organisational, problem-solving and planning skills
* Approachable, committed, pro-active and efficient individual
