Salary: FTE: £25,583.00 - £27,254.00 per annum. Pro rata £15,989.90 - £17,349.87

Ixworth High School is a small high school set in the picturesque Suffolk countryside, we are 10 minutes from the A14, 20 mins from Bury St. Edmunds, 35 mins from Ipswich and 45 mins from Sudbury. We are part the Sapientia Educational Trust.

The Role
We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with others as part of our school team as a Science Technician.
As a Science Technician you will support the Science Faculty with the delivery of practical lessons, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the Science Prep Room. You will work collaboratively with the science team to ensure that resources are planned and provided to deliver safe science practicals across Years 7 to 11.

* The ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and accept challenges;
* Knowledge of science equipment, resources and related procedures.
The qualifications and experience required of a Science Technician are:
* A minimum of a grade C / 4, or equivalent, in English and Maths GCSE.
* A degree or post16 qualification relevant to the post.
