About the role
As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. A skilled, practical mechanic looking to be part of something big – this is for you.
Responsibilities
* Getting people – our mechanics are out on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride.
* Mixing things up – every day’s a little different through servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks, managing stock, doing reporting, and keeping customer conversations flowing.
* Thinking on your feet – you’ll be trusted to make the right call for each customer, handling different fixes, faces, and new challenges every day.
* Delivering mobile service – bringing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs directly to customers, while staying independent and maintaining a 40‑hour week.
Requirements
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
