HGV Technician - Cross Hands

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved Commercial Vehicle Dealership located in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, is currently looking to recruit a dedicated HGV Technician to join their busy Service Department.

Benefits:
* Competitive starting salary of £17-18.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
* Paid overtime at enhanced rates of time and a half or double time, based on the time of day
* Performance-based quarterly bonus
* Optional breakdown assistance van coverage on a 1 in 3/4 weekly rota, with payments of £350 per shift and £30 call-out fee outside of shift hours
* 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with options to increase leave after five years or receive an additional £50 per month

Duties:
* Complete all service, safety, and maintenance work to the highest quality standards, adhering to manufacturer schedules
* Support colleagues by assisting with technical issues and diagnostics
* Carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions on HGVs
* Document all diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and servicing accurately
* Contribute to team targets and workshop efficiency
Requirements:
* Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or possess substantial practical experience as an HGV Technician.
* Ability to perform diagnostic analysis and repairs efficiently
* Strong team player with a commitment to delivering quality work
* Motivated to meet targets in a busy workshop environment
* An active HGV driving licence is highly desirable but not essential
