Job Description

As a Senior Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day delivery of high‑quality care and providing leadership throughout your shift.


Responsibilities

* Leading and supporting Care Practitioners during each shift
* Ensuring safe, effective, and person‑centred care is delivered at all times
* Administering and managing medication in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
* Monitoring residents' wellbeing and escalating concerns appropriately
* Supporting the implementation and review of care plans
* Acting as a role model and mentor for junior team members
* Liaising with healthcare professionals, relatives, and members of the wider multidisciplinary team
* Supporting the Management Team in the smooth day‑to‑day running of the home


What We're Looking For


Essential

* Previous experience within a residential, nursing, or dementia care setting
* Confidence leading shifts and coordinating care delivery
* Strong understanding of person‑centred care
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* A commitment to delivering high standards of care


Desirable

* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care
* Experience administering medication
* Previous supervisory or senior care experience
* Personal Qualities
