About the Role
We now have an opportunity for a Senior Industrial Liaison Scientist to join our Industrial Liaison team.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in macromolecular crystallography to real-world projects that directly impact human health and drug development. You will work closely with industrial clients, supporting a wide range of activities including crystallisation, diffraction data collection, structure determination, and fragment screening campaigns.
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented scientist with a strong background in MX and drug discovery. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality scientific consultancy and experimental support to our industrial partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert consultancy to industrial users in macromolecular crystallography, including the design and execution of fragment screening experiments.
* Manage full-service projects, including sample handling, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
* Support industrial users during beamline experiments, acting as a local contact.
* Contribute to business development by presenting at conferences, participating in client meetings, and promoting our services.
About You
You will hold a Degree in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Biophysics, or a related field and a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant area.
As well as having:
* Strong expertise in macromolecular crystallography.
* Proven laboratory and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Experience working with synchrotron MX beamlines.
* Experience with crystallographic fragment screening.
Ideally you will have a background in a commercial or industrial setting but not essential.
