Internal Redeployment Only - Taith Grants Officer This role will support the Taith programme with the grants management cycle which includes the planning, implementation, management and reporting of processes of all of the Pathway funding calls. This post is full-time and fixed-term until 30 September 2027. Salary: £33,482 - £36,130 per annum (Grade 5) We would be pleased to consider internal or external secondment applications and can advise on the mechanism by which this can occur. Key Duties Provide professional advice and guidance on Taith’s grants management processes and procedures to eligible applying organisations and Grant Recipients. Use judgement and creativity to suggest the most appropriate course of action where appropriate and ensure complex and conceptual issues are understood. Take responsibility for resolving issues independently within the Taith grants management cycle process. Contribute to the establishment and review processes for assessing funding applications. Contribute to the establishment and review of processes to monitor grant awards. This may include Taith programme targets and reporting processes, analysing monitoring reports, site visits to Grant Recipient and recommending grant payments. Support the investigation and analysis of specific issues within the grants management cycle. This may include functionality and development changes supported by advances within the Taith grants management systems and user testing. Support the development of training materials including guidance notes for a range of stakeholders, application reviewers and Grant Recipients on the Taith grants management processes. Contribute to the development and regular updating of the Grant Recipients area on the Taith website. Contribute to the development of reporting mechanisms to generate intelligence on the impact and achievement of the Taith funding awards. Support the provision of the enquiries service to potential applicants enquiring about Taith. Undertake specific research about current funding calls or potential new areas of activity, as required. Contribute to identifying opportunities to provide non-monetary support to Grant Recipients and/or applicants. Support the provision of the Grant Recipients support service. Support the day-to-day operation of projects including liaising with Grant Recipients and sector organisations and follow up on technical queries relating to reporting and project monitoring. Ensure that grant award records are accurate and complete and maintain up-to-date data on applications and awarded grants at any time. Ensure reporting and payments are completed to schedule. Support the audit and verification processes of the Taith grant awards. Support the work of the Taith Communications & Impact Officer to ensure that all of Taith's external communications are accurate and up-to-date. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the Taith team. General Duties Ensure that an understanding of the importance of confidentiality is applied when undertaking all duties. Essential Criteria Qualifications and Education Degree/NVQ 4 or equivalent Professional membership/experience. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Substantial experience of working within grants management - including planning, implementation and reporting of grant programmes. Able to demonstrate professional knowledge of external funding to give advice and guidance to customers. Ability to set up standard office systems and procedures and make improvements as appropriate. Customer Service, Communication and Team Working Ability to communicate conceptually detailed and complex information effectively and professionally with a wide range of people. Evidence of ability to explore customers’ needs and adapt the service accordingly to ensure a quality service is delivered. Planning, Analysis and Problem solving Evidence of ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity; identifying and proposing practical solutions and resolving problems with range of potential outcomes. Evidence of demonstrable knowledge of key advances within grants management. Evidence of ability to work unsupervised to deadlines, planning and setting priorities for own work and that of others and monitoring progress. Other A willingness to undertake further training and development. Desirable Criteria Postgraduate/Professional qualification. Experience of working in a grant awarding organisation. Experience of international education. Fluency in Welsh, written and oral.
