Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end design and delivery of large, complex, and often ambiguous transformation programmes, including operating model change or key strategic initiatives. This often involves working across different territories and/or with Comcast NBCU colleagues.
* Shape and develop strategic recommendations grounded in commercial and financial analysis and convert them into clear, actionable delivery plans that drive tangible business outcomes, implementing programme governance where needed.
* Drive and take accountability for programmes through all relevant stages of the lifecycle, from initiation through to closure and review, leading teams from across the business via multiple workstreams (e.g., technology, operations, digital, marketing, commercial, finance etc).
* Provide challenge and offer alternative solutions where applicable, using your experience from within and outside Sky to offer a perspective on what to do.
* Deliver clear, accurate and independent updates to senior executives across the business (e.g., MD level and above). Ensure all stakeholders are clear on status and issues/risk are known, appraised and being mitigated.
* Own and evolve the end-to-end plan, ensuring alignment across strategic intent, delivery outcomes, and future-state operating model, always with one eye on aligning to other business objectives or programmes running in parallel.
* Depending on the programme need, facilitate change management, operating model design, or process improvement.
* Identify other opportunities for us to engage with the business to drive transformation.
Qualifications
* Experience from large & complex blue-chip organisations or a high calibre management consultancy of leading large scale, cross-functional transformation programmes ideally with direct involvement in programme leadership, operating model design and implementation, and change management.
* Experience of developing clear, insight or financially led strategies (potentially gained in a strategy consultancy) and a track record of driving those strategies through to successful implementation in complex organisations.
* Ability to influence others in the absence of any direct authority with the vision, diplomacy and drive to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity and complexity, building trusted relationships at all levels.
* Successful at managing multiple senior executives & leaders with competing priorities and ambitious expectations.
* Strong communication (and listening) skills at all levels – able to translate messages in a straightforward and simple manner.
