We are pleased to be expanding our Imaging Department at St Richard’s Hospital as part of ongoing improvements to patient care and service delivery.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Senior Imaging Clinical Support Workers to join our established, friendly, and dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a key department within the hospital, working in a supportive and professional environment.
As a Senior Imaging Clinical Support Worker, you will work alongside Radiographers and Radiologists to help ensure the smooth running of the Imaging Department. Your role will involve assisting with the care of patients undergoing a variety of imaging procedures.

Previous healthcare experience is essential, and while this is not a new role, full support and training will be provided to help you carry out your duties confidently across Imaging specialities.

Main duties of the job
This dynamic and evolving role will include coordinating the workflow in specific Imaging areas, assisting Radiographers in the preparation of patients and equipment for imaging examinations, ensuring pre-examination checks and information are available, liaising with wards and porters, assisting with patient transfers and the orientation of patients around the department.
As part of the role you will also perform caring activities for the patients ensuring patients' needs and privacy and dignity are met.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
5. Actively participate as a member of the Imaging Department team and contribute towards the smooth and efficient running of the Department
6. This is a dynamic, evolving role which will include coordinating the workflow within Imaging modalities, assisting Radiographers with patient flow, preparing and positioning equipment and assisting Radiographers and Radiologists with the positioning of patients for imaging examinations and assisting with patient transfers to and from the wards when required
7. The ability to work with in-patients and out-patients requiring imaging examinations
8. To act a trouble shooter between the multi-disciplinary team to ensure timely imaging
9. Ensure provision of the highest standards of care.
10. Assist the radiographers in giving individualised care to the patients.
11. Perform caring activities such as preparing patients for their Imaging examinations and caring for patients following examinations, ensuring patients’ needs, privacy and dignity are met
12. Assist the radiographers with the care and preparation of the Imaging equipment, to include ensuring cleanliness of equipment, setting up sterile trollies, preparing contrast media.
13. Perform administrative and clerical duties across the department as required, including reception cover, appointment bookings and data entry on all necessary clinical systems.
14. To work 37.5 hours, to include evening, night and weekend working.
15. Some cross site working may be required.

16. Maths and English GCSE at grades 4 and above / C
