We are currently looking for people with excellent assessment and communication skills who perform well under pressure. The role of the Mental Health professional in Liaison is a fast paced and dynamic role. The team provide day time input into the Emergency Department and General Hospital Wards delivering high calibre assessments, formulations, and care plans for individuals. We provide an invaluable expert opinion into the care of individuals in the hospital.
An essential aspect of this post is the ability to foster excellent relationships with our acute hospital colleagues, to communicate best practice with regards mental health care.

Main duties of the job
As part of the Liaison Psychiatry Service, the post-holder will contribute to the multi-disciplinary clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the service in collaboration with other team members.
Providing and undertaking timely biopsychosocial assessments and risk management plans in accordance with CPFT’s Clinical Risk Assessment and Management policy for adults presenting to the Acute Trust with mental health problems.
This role is a permanent, full time vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist / Mental Health Professional wanting to join the established liaison psychiatry team.
The service aims to offer exceptional standards of care to all patients attending Hinchingbrooke Hospital experiencing a comorbid mental health issue. As such, an opportunity has arisen to recruit a dynamic CNS / MHP on a permanent contract who will work hour shifts across a / rota- this would usually be two shifts one week, three the next.
