Oral / Maxillofacial experience necessary

The operating department at the James Cook University Hospital includes 20 in-patient theatres within the Centre. Included, is a recovery area within main theatres plus the recovery area within the paediatric day facility. Also at The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton the operating department comprises of 6 main in-patient theatres, (which includes obstetrics) plus the Surgical Day Unit (1 GA &1 minor ops theatre).
The theatres provide an operating service to the following clinical specialities:
* General Surgery
* Gynaecology
* Urology
* MRI
* Plastic Surgery
* Orthopaedics
* Maxillofacial
* ECT
* Paediatrics
* Emergency

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with NMC or ODP with HCPC
* Nursing Degree/Diploma or ODP qualification
Experience
* General Surgery & Obstetrics
* Prepared to update and undertake further professional education. To meet the required skills for the role
* Experience in the theatre environment.
Knowledge
* Prepared to update and undertake further professional education to meet the knowledge & skills required for the role
* Commitment to maintain own skills and standard of care
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work without direct supervision
* Experience within Theatre as a scrub practitioner
