Job Description
The Technical Facilities Manager is responsible for supporting and implementing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of site maintenance activities. This role includes carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation’s policies and applicable laws. Key duties involve interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Key Responsibilities
1. To manage the BMS building services and Controls Systems of Buildings.
2. Manage the technical shift team and contractors to ensure all PPM’s and reactive works are completed in line with SLA’s and KPI’s.
3. Provide technical reports and evaluation of assets and systems on the customers sites.
4. Review and evaluate performance and ensure quality standards are being met.
5. Support daily update meetings with customer.
6. Support the Asset Manager by ensure the team provide the correct documentation and uploads to the CAFM system.
7. Maintain a risk register for areas of responsibilities and support the wider risk management and mitigation.
8. Take corrective action to resolve problems.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
9. Significant experience in providing BMS building services and Controls maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance, installation, inspection and reporting.
10. Vocational Education in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent; HNC in electrical/controls or City & Guilds level 1, 2 and 3.
11. In-country Chartered/Registered/Licensed Engineer - professional memberships with IET, CIBSE, IENG preferable
12. Strong knowledge of Work Order Control procedures and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
13. Minimum IOSH managing safety/NEBOSH.
14. Practical experience in Hard Services contract delivery and NEC 4 Contracts.
