Our client, one of rural Scotland's most successful and beautifully located visitor destinations, is seeking an experienced Hospitality Manager to take full operational responsibility for their busy café and food offering within a thriving retail and tourism environment in the Scottish Highlands.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established food operation visited by thousands each year, while shaping its next phase of growth and consistency.
About the Role
This is a key operational leadership role focused on the day-to-day performance of the café and kitchen, including:
A high-volume café serving fresh, quality-led food
Kitchen production, standards and compliance
Front of House service delivery
Seasonal peaks driven by tourism and events
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be the driving force behind food quality, kitchen efficiency, service standards and team performance.
You will ensure the café and all food outlets operate smoothly, profitably and consistently - delivering an exceptional visitor experience every day.
Key Responsibilities
Full operational management of the café, food outlets and kitchen
Lead, motivate and develop Front of House and Back of House teams
Oversee menu delivery, food quality, presentation and consistency
Manage rotas in line with seasonal demand and business levels
Control stock, ordering, wastage and GP performance
Maintain strict Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and compliance standards
Monitor daily and weekly KPIs including sales, labour and margins
Work collaboratively with retail and site teams to enhance overall visitor experience
Support development of seasonal menus and special event catering
Drive standards, pace and positivity on the floor
About You
We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a busy, visitor-focused environment.
You will likely have:
A strong background in café, restaurant or hotel F&B management
Experience overseeing kitchen teams and food production standards
Solid understanding of cost control, stock management and margins
A hands-on leadership style - visible, supportive and proactive
The ability to lead through busy seasonal trading periods
A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach
Passion for quality food and warm, efficient service
