About the Role
Our client is a global engineering leader in semiconductor manufacturing. They are seeking a skilled Electrician to join their busy industrial site team. This role is hands-on, maintaining, installing, and improving electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of plant and equipment. You will be integral to supporting production, responding to breakdowns, performing planned maintenance, and contributing to site improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond quickly to electrical faults and breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to regulations and site procedures.
* Ensure all work complies with statutory requirements, standards, and internal policies.
* Install, maintain, and upgrade site lighting and electrical systems, including energy efficiency improvements.
* Complete mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations supporting production and facilities.
* Test, inspect, and certify electrical installations where qualified, maintaining accurate records.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, site upgrades, and modifications.
* Adhere to health and safety procedures, promoting a strong safety culture.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations.
* Experience with lighting installations, upgrades, and energy efficiency projects.
* Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance systems.
* Strong safety focus and problem-solving skills.
* Reliable, accountable, and able to manage tasks independently.
* Good communication and team-working skills.
* Strong time management and attention to detail.
* Willingness to learn and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* City & Guilds 2382 – Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
Desirable:
* City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) – Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations.
