Key Personnel are currently recruiting a Customs Analyst on behalf of our client based in Dundee. As Customs Analyst on behalf of our client you will review import and export documentation and perform activities to ensure the businesses compliance.
Job Title: Customs Analyst
Contract: 6 – 12 months
Salary: £30,000 pro rata
The Role:
Effectively manage relationships by liaising with brokers, affiliates and third parties to ensure timely and correct clearance of imports and exports
Processing import documentation and adjustments for under/over discrepancies in shipments received against original customs entry
Ensuring that all certifications and documents are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with legal requirements
Accurately maintain and update and export invoice log and raise manual invoices for export when required
Accurately complete Post Entry reviews and prepare supporting document packs on imports and exports
Review monthly MSS data to provide information on Global Duty Spend and create import/export Affiliate Profile
Perform posted VAT Accounting reconciliations by division for finance to aid their VAT return
Where required ensure all dual use goods are tracked, logged monitored and exported with the appropriate licences
Manage annual renewals of Broker Agreements
Customs commodity HS classification, management and determination of country of origin for the import/export of products and materials
Maintenance and storage of documentation relating to the import/export of products and materials
Handling and resolving genera customs enquiries
Skills/Experience Required:
Experience and background in logistics/import/export of materials and products
Experience working in a collaborative and cross-functional environment, both domestic and international
Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast paced business environment to meet frequent and changing priorities
Good understanding on how to manage large data files, merge data and create formulas
High attention to detail
