Due to growth our established client based in Wellingborough is recruiting experienced Welders to join theirOperations team, where you’ll play a key role in producing high-precision components within a professional, safety-focused production environment.
The Role ... As a TIG & MIG Welder, you’ll join a team of expert welders on the late shift, responsible for assembling and welding a wide range of instrumentation using jigs, fixtures, and manipulators.
You will:
* Weld stainless steel components to high specification (including exotic materials such as Duplex or Super Duplex)
* Perform helium leakage testing, expanding, pressure testing, and basic assembly work
* Maintain your equipment and workspace to a high standard
* Work from technical drawings and support continuous improvement efforts across production
* Assist with TPM and preventative maintenance
* Work to tight tolerances with accuracy, consistency, and attention to safety
What We’re Looking For ...
Essential:
* 5+ years TIG welding experience (MIG experience a bonus)
* Coded welder to EN287-1 / ASME IX / PED
* High standard of stainless steel welding
* Confident using production tools and reading technical drawings
* Good computer skills (MS Office)
* Hands-on, adaptable, and reliable team player
Desirable:
* Recognised Engineering qualification (e.g. BTEC, City & Guilds)
* Experience welding exotic materials (e.g. Duplex)
* Experience using lathes, turntables, or automated equipment
* Nuclear coding (RCCM
