Sysco GB (comprising Brakes, Fresh Direct, Medina & KFF) is recruiting for a SOX Compliance Coordinator to lead and manage SOX compliance, ensuring a strong control environment. The role involves working closely with Internal Audit, the Process & Controls team, and Senior Process Owners to document, test, and improve financial processes. It also includes overseeing a small aspect of FCA compliance, including regulatory submissions.
This is a full-time, permanent, home-based role with occasional travel required. The earliest start date is 1st July 2025.
Key Responsibilities
SOX Compliance & Internal Controls
* Lead SOX compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to control requirements.
* Collaborate with Internal Audit, Process & Controls team, and process owners to maintain a robust control environment.
* Ensure financial processes are well-documented and regularly updated.
* Participate in annual SOX walkthroughs with process owners and auditors.
* Identify and implement control improvements.
* Support remediation of control deficiencies.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
* Serve as the primary contact for SOX-related matters.
* Provide compliance updates and reports.
* Support training initiatives for process owners.
FCA Compliance
* Ensure timely submission of FCA regulatory returns.
* Maintain awareness of financial regulations.
* Assist with regulatory queries.
Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in SOX compliance, internal controls, or financial compliance in a corporate setting. Strong understanding of financial processes, risk management, and control frameworks. Experience with Internal & External Audit and Process Owners. FCA knowledge is a plus. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proactive attitude towards compliance and risk management.
