A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Through Life Engineer to join the Customer Support & Services (CSS) organisation, supporting the development of cost-effective support solutions and influencing product design for through-life supportability.
This role performs engineering responsibilities throughout the product lifecycle and reports to the Project Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead work packages focused on influencing product design for support and developing innovative through-life solutions.
* Collaborate with engineering functions including Reliability, Human Factors, Training, and Technical Publications.
* Support the development and integration of technologies that enable effective in-service support for global customers.
* Apply recognised Supportability Engineering techniques such as Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis.
* Champion the use of ILS standards such as Def Stan 00-600 or ASD S3000L, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal business objectives.
The successful candidate will have:
* Proven experience in Supportability Engineering with a solid understanding of ILS principles.
* Practical experience with LORA, MTA, and LCC techniques.
* Working knowledge of ILS standards including Def Stan 00-600 and ASD S3000L.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in integrated teams.
* A proactive, professional, and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic design environment.
