Resident Liaison Officer
* Hourly Rate: PAYE: £21.00, Limited/Umbrella: £26.86
* Location: SM1, Greater London
* Job Type: Contract (3-month booking, immediate start)
We are seeking a Resident Liaison Officer to provide essential support and information to tenants and leaseholders affected by major works. This role is crucial in ensuring that communication and consultation procedures with residents on capital projects demonstrate Best Value.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Offer information, advice, and assistance to tenants and leaseholders during major works.
* Liaise with contractors, consultants, and Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs) to ensure high standards of engagement with residents.
* Develop, agree, and manage the residents’ consultation plan for individual projects.
* Coordinate the content and distribution of resident information packs and updates, including newsletters across various media outlets.
* Coordinate the temporary or permanent re-housing of residents, where necessary.
* Advise Project Managers on the potential impacts of capital works on residents and contribute to the project development as a team member.
* Handle insurance and other claims submitted by residents efficiently.
* Initiate and manage legal actions against tenants or leaseholders when necessary.
* Design and conduct social surveys prior to the commencement of major projects.
* Establish and maintain a customer feedback/complaints procedure for each project.
* Ensure information on vulnerable residents is communicated appropriately and make provisions for their needs.
* Conduct resident satisfaction surveys post-completion of projects and analyse the results.
* Review and suggest improvements to the procedures for consulting and communicating with residents.
* Assist in the implementation of the Best Value Action Plan for the HRA Capital Programme.
* Perform other relevant duties as required for the delivery of the capital investment programme.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in a similar role, ideally within a housing or construction environment.
* Strong ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders including contractors, tenants, and local government officials.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and at various locations.
* Proficient in designing surveys and analysing data.
* Knowledge of legal procedures related to housing and construction projects is advantageous.
