Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Days Only)

Role Purpose
Join our client's manufacturing team as a Maintenance Engineer, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all production machinery. You will play a vital role in reactive breakdown response and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Execute planned preventative maintenance on CNC routers, woodworking machinery, panel saws, and other production equipment.
Diagnose faults quickly during breakdowns and implement effective, permanent repairs.
Conduct routine inspections on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to maintain optimal performance.
Maintain comprehensive records of repairs, installations, and PPM activities.
Assist in the installation, upgrading, and commissioning of new machinery in production and assembly areas.
Collaborate with production supervisors to schedule maintenance without disrupting workflow.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
Manage spare parts and consumables inventory effectively.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Level 3 NVQ / BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in manufacturing maintenance.
Strong mechanical skills with desirable electrical experience.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics proficiently.
Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Proven fault-finding experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
