Business Director - Multi Sector - Bid, Business Development & Marketing at Bidrecruitment
A rare opportunity has come up to join a technology company operating in the defence sector. My client is looking for a Senior Bid Manager on a 12-month contract. This is a full-time role, working hybrid from either Lincoln or Cambridge.
This role would suit a bid professional confident in managing all aspects of the bid process as well as creating written content. You will join a team of 4, focusing on larger, more complex opportunities.
Applicants must be able to pass security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end bid process, including planning and facilitating Win Strategy reviews, Bid Kick-off meetings, Content Planning workshops and reviews, Proposal Document reviews, and other key approval stages.
* Work with stakeholders to develop a clear win strategy for each bid, ensuring win themes are compelling.
* Manage bid teams and obtain inputs from key stakeholders, engaging with business development, technical teams, finance, commercial, HR, and project management/delivery groups.
* Manage and track risks throughout the bid process.
* Review and contribute to written proposals.
* Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.
* Manage responses of all types (PQQ/RFI/RFP/ITT/Framework) for clients across various sectors.
* Produce persuasive bids demonstrating the company's ability to deliver quality solutions.
* Collate estimates and cost inputs from SMEs; prepare and present cost data in the appropriate format for governance.
* Plan, manage, and complete all bid submissions, including EOIs, PQQs, and formal tenders.
* Support opportunity planning activities across the company.
* Adhere to the bid process as governed by internal systems.
* Facilitate bid reviews to ensure quality and compliance, conducting post-bid LfE reviews.
* Manage content collation from SMEs.
* Manage bid team responses and content within the bid lifecycle.
* Work with SMEs to extract compelling value-add statements and Win Themes.
* Contribute to continuous improvement within the Bid team for the broader business.
