Job Description:
Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to small-and-medium sized accounts. The role combines Field Sales and Inside Sales to maximize sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory. This territory may be defined by geographic, product, industry, or other customer/market dimensions. The sales are conducted directly or via partners. The territory assigned may lack an Inside Sales or Field Rep. Utilizes inbound and outbound techniques to identify, qualify, and close new opportunities. Manages accounts throughout the entire sales process, collaborating with team members in business development, consulting, and support to uncover customer needs. Responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive landscape to develop comprehensive solution proposals. Travels to customer sites to identify and develop sales opportunities, participates in the development and presentation of value propositions, and conducts onsite customer presentations with C-level executives to negotiate and close strategic and complex deals. Maintains customer relationships, identifies new opportunities, and maximizes account potential. Requires independent judgment to handle varied and complex tasks. Fully competent in own area of expertise, possibly with a project lead role. Must possess highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills, with a successful sales track record. Knowledge of Oracle and its competitors, ability to interact with C-level stakeholders, and team-oriented mindset are essential. The role involves penetrating accounts and engaging stakeholders within them. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required. Willingness to travel as needed. Requires 5+ years of relevant sales experience. A BS/BA degree or equivalent is preferred.
The MySQL Global Business Unit seeks a qualified Sales Representative to sell MySQL Database Service (MDS) and HeatWave (HW) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and multi-cloud environments.
MySQL HeatWave is one of Oracle's most innovative recent products; combined with the MySQL Database Cloud, this presents an opportunity to join a rapidly growing team selling a top cloud product within Oracle.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in selling cloud services, with the ability to understand and articulate core cloud principles (storage, networking, security, disaster recovery) to customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders. They should be able to communicate Oracle Cloud's value proposition and understand cloud business drivers to position OCI's competitive advantages. A passion for MySQL and Cloud Services, and the ability to quickly uncover customer pains, are essential.
Candidates should have more than 3 years of successful experience selling cloud services to organizations ranging from SMBs to Fortune 100 companies.
Job Requirements:
* Spend at least 50% of weekly time prospecting for new business.
* Forecast, manage, and close 50-60 workloads annually using Oracle Sales Cloud.
* Identify and collaborate with key internal stakeholders in the territory (Tech Managers, Partners, etc.).
* Engage with customer stakeholders to promote MDS/HW to developers and decision-makers.
* Be a team player, sometimes supporting larger account teams rather than leading opportunities alone.
* Use key Oracle sales tools effectively, including Territory and Market Intelligence, Eloqua, Datafox/ZoomInfo, Sales Cloud, and LinkedIn.
* Develop and execute a territory plan, and adapt it regularly.
* Present quarterly business reviews and participate in account planning discussions.
* Conduct discovery calls effectively.
* Be able to deliver a compelling 3-minute elevator pitch focused on Oracle Cloud + MDS/HW.
Qualifications:
* BS or BA degree or relevant experience preferred.
* Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and meet revenue targets.
* Knowledge of software sales, particularly in IT.
* Over 3 years of IT sales experience.
* Understanding of local market business environment and networks.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
* Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
* Fluent in English and any of French, Swedish, or German.
