Overview
Bristol Grammar School is seeking a temporary, full-time Alumni and Events Officer to cover a maternity leave from January 2026.
The Alumni Events & Communications Officer plays a key role within the team; creating and delivering effective communications and delivering strategic events to engage the whole BGS Community (our alumni, parents and friends) whilst developing and supporting relationships with the wider Old Bristolian network.
Responsibilities
* Create and deliver communications to engage the BGS Community across channels.
* Plan and deliver strategic events to strengthen engagement with alumni, parents and friends.
* Manage social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bitly, Linktree and X) and develop content for internal communications and public postings.
* Utilise design tools (Canva) and basic video editing to produce engaging posts, presentations and communications materials.
* Collaborate with school teams to support alumni relations and events.
Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience of managing social media platforms listed above.
* Proficient design skills, including use of Canva and basic video editing.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
