The Energy team is looking for an electronics lab technician to help develop new technologies for the changing power grid. This team is responsible for smart metering, EV charging and power grid control systems. Numerous global challenges such as climate change, vehicle electrification and distributed renewable generation are putting immense pressure on existing power infrastructure. The Smart Grid Solutions team has been leading the development of technologies and solutions to position ADI as leaders in these high growth areas.
We are looking for a technician to help build and evaluate prototype products. This will include electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assembly and testing of PCBs
2. Rework of PCBs
3. Mechanical builds
4. 3D printing of mechanical components
5. Management of electrical and mechanical component stock for PCB assembly and mechanical builds
6. Lab testing of electronic systems
7. Making changes to PCB designs
Essential Skills Required:
8. SMT assembly using a reflow soldering
9. Manual PCB rework
Desirable Skills:
10. 3D printing experience
11. PCB design experience
12. Electronic evaluation experience (Labview)
