Logistics & Harvest Controller

Your Mission
Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the prompt receipt and supply of legal and food-safe materials and products to internal and external customers. They should lead the logistics team by example, with a hands-on approach and strong work ethic. During apple harvest season, the controller will oversee the movement of freshly harvested apples from the farm to the factory and storage facilities.
What You Will Do
* Ensure all activities meet HSE standards and quality system requirements.
* Coordinate logistics to meet customer requirements on time, in full, and within budget.
* Manage raw material supply, deliveries, and palletising for production.
* Oversee harvest process, apple quality, and supply chain.
* Ensure effective stock picking, prioritizing shortest expiry dates.
* Coordinate with Technical department for QC checks and product compliance.
* Conduct stock checks with Finance department.
* Follow Factory Master processes for goods booking, returns, and disposal.
* Maintain housekeeping standards in the logistics team.
* Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, stock accuracy, waste, and display daily.
* Manage logistics budgets.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Apple quality and grower knowledge.
* Harvest and apple store experience.
* FLT Licence.
* Ability to motivate and develop colleagues.
* Results-driven attitude.
* Strong work ethic and leadership by example.
* High standards and impact awareness.
* Effective stock management skills.
* Good communication skills.
* HGV1 & HGO licences for site driver coverage.
* Experience with transport statutory reporting.
What You Can Expect From Puratos
* Pay: £16.00 – 17.99/hour depending on experience.
* Working hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week, with extended hours during harvest.
