Delivery Lead
We are seeking a Delivery Lead to join our Group Technology team on an initial 5-month contract (Outside IR35). In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving one of the largest CRM transformation initiatives within Connells Group.
We offer a hybrid working arrangement with 1 or 2 days per week in our Milton Keynes office or Wakefield.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead end-to-end delivery of the Group’s CRM transformation initiative, ensuring phased rollouts are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
2. Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including product, engineering, QA, data, architecture, and supplier resources, to maintain alignment and drive progress.
3. Own the delivery roadmap, milestones, risks, dependencies, and RAID management, ensuring visibility and proactive issue resolution.
4. Act as the primary delivery interface between Connells Group Technology, estate agency brands, and external CRM supplier ensuring strong communication and alignment.
5. Support change and adoption planning, working closely with operational leads to minimise disruption and ensure branch-ready rollouts.
6. Ensure clear governance and reporting, providing weekly executive-level updates on delivery health, progress, risk, and readiness.
7. Maintain delivery discipline, including sprint/iteration planning, Kanban flow, backlog refinement, and release management depending on the workstream.
8. Drive dependency management across data migration, integrations, training, testing, and brand readiness.
9. Support supplier management, ensuring third-party delivery commitments, SLAs, and technical outcomes are met.
Experience and Skills Required:
10. Proven delivery leadership across large-scale transformation or CRM/platform implementations.
11. Strong technical delivery background, able to engage confidently with engineering, architecture, data, and vendor teams.
12. Excellent stakeholder management, including at senior and executive levels, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
13. Experience managing third-party suppliers, ensuring accountability, performance, and delivery to agreed milestones.
14. Commercially aware, with an ability to balance scope, cost, quality, and business readiness.
15. Experience in data migration, integration, or enterprise platform change (advantageous but not essential).
16. Resilient and calm under pressure, especially during rapid rollout phases or when managing competing priorities
17. Understanding of and experience with delivering in SAFe and agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
18. Experience of delivering change using tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), GitHub, Jenkins or Octopus automated deployments.
19. Experience of delivering change across of Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL, and cloud Azure.
Qualifications:
20. Preferably educated to graduate level in an IT or software related engineering degree with experience in delivering change in agile software engineering environments.
