Job Title: Service Engineer - Field Based
Reports to: Service Manager and Managing Director
Job Description:
Field based service engineer working in the wastewater industry with our current team of engineers. Our offices are based in Todmorden, West Yorkshire and we currently work throughout the North of England and the Midlands. On some occasions an overnight stay may be necessary.
Specific knowledge of waste water treatment plants is not necessary as a six month training period will be given.
There may be some occasional heavy lifting involved.
Main Duties:
* Maintaining and repairing sewage treatment equipment.
* Preparing associated paperwork on completion of work carried out, ensuring sufficient detail is supplied to raise invoices.
* Excellent customer service skills to meet the expectations of our customer.
* Provide information to customers on the condition of their plant.
* Perform hands-on, onsite problem solving.
* Assess treatment plant performance and provide solutions/modifications as necessary.
* Overseeing and supervising desludging as required.
* Work safely and responsibly, avoiding injuries, damage to property and materials.
* Assist in the training of personnel when required.
* Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety.
* Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
* Act professionally and promote S & S at all times.
Ideal candidate requirements
* Have a full, clean driving licence
* Have a minimum of Grade C GCSE's or equivalent in Maths, English & Science
* Have excellent communications and customer service skills
* Must be able and willing to have nights away as required
* Have excellent problem solving skills
* Act with integrity, consistency and be accountable for their own actions
* Be professional and a good team player
* Be practical, logical and have a good sense of humour
* Be self-motivated and comfortable to be able to work on their own initiative.
* Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given

* Starting Salary £28,000 increasing to £30,000 after initial 6 months training completed then annual increases as experience is gained.
