Total hours per week: 39 Expected duration 18 Months Possible start date 01 Jul 2024 Date posted 21 Mar 2024 Apprenticeship level Intermediate Level 2 (GCSE) Reference number VAC1000239702 Positions 3 available What you will do in your working day On a day-to-day basis as an apprentice, you will be doing the following: Working independently or as part of a team Following fabrication/assembly manuals from set out to completion Learn how to fabricate to the specifications set out by our various system suppliers Learn techniques to enable you to fabricate the product to a high standard that meets our client’s requirements General housekeeping & work area cleanliness Loading, unloading, and general labouring General Health & Safety Health & Safety rules and regulations Participate in team meetings Fabrication of aluminium glazing components Fabrication of sheet aluminium & lead covered steel glazing bars The role will also be to develop skills for receipt of deliveries, packaging of material and preparing materials for transportation The training you will be getting The apprenticeship in Fenestration consists of: Intermediate Standard Apprenticeship-Fenestration Fabricator Functional Skills in English and Math’s (Level 1/2) where applicable All aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with your employer, and you will have regular site visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship program. You will achieve a qualification in Fenestration Fabricator Level 2 Standard.
