We have a fantastic opportunity for an Agricultural Mechanic working with our Head of Operations & Fleet Manager to service and maintain the fleet of vehicles, including agricultural and other estate management machinery belonging to the Jockey Club

The Mechanic will
Be a key part of the Newmarket-based team to repair, maintain and service the fleet of horticultural/agricultural vehicles and plant as required.
Complete the work to the standard and the quality specified.
Have a dynamic and innovative approach to the development of the fleet repair and maintenance.
Collaborate with the Fleet Manager regarding all day-to-day events including problems and cost management.
Ensure that all vehicles and machinery follow a service and maintenance schedule for reliability, cost efficiency and safety of the fleet.
Attend breakdowns and visit other group sites to aid as required to minimise downtime.
Ability to undertake all physical tasks associated with the work.
About you
Full driving licence
Fully Qualified at NVQ Level 3 or above
Experienced in all round mechanical/electrical experience for vehicle maintenance and repair in a busy workshop environment.
Evidence of continual training and development, with modern vehicle/plant technology, over the last two years.
Understanding of Health & Safety legislation
Pro-active approach to RAMS and TBT documentation
Knowledge of Welding and fabrication.
Competent in Diagnostic process and repair and use of diagnostic equipment
Experience in agricultural and plant equipment
Ability to work on own initiative, but also as part of a team with a can-do attitude.
An excellent communicator with outstanding attention to detail
